Robert Pattinson To Play New Romantic Lead

Robert Pattinson’s days as a heartthrob are far from over, as he signs on to play another romantic lead in a film produced by Summit Entertainment.

The Twilight star – who is currently on location in Vancouver filmingNew Moon - is set to star in the all too familiar role as one half of a young couple, whose love becomes threatened by a succession of family tragedies.

Rob finishes filming for New Moonin May and follows up his part playing brooding vampire Edward Cullen with a gut-wrenching role inRemember Me - originally titled Memoirs.

The film will be directed by Emmy-winning director Allen Coulter (The Sopranos, Damages) and written by Jenny Lumet, who penned the script for Rachel Getting Married.

Rob’s leading lady has still yet to be decided on.
