« Robert Pattinson only has a ‘supporting role’ in New Moon film | New Moon Special: Robert, Taylor & Kristen on Making a ‘Pretty Hot Movie’ »Robert Pattinson’s dating struggles Robert Pattinson has revealed that it’s not that easy for him to get a date. The British actor, who plays sexy vampire Edward Cullen in vampire movie Twilight, said most people tend to call him by the name of his character rather than Robert. “Girls scream out for Edward, not Robert – I still can’t get a date,” he told the Sydney Morning Herald. The actor is still adjusting to his newfound fame. “To be honest, I still don’t really understand what’s going on. I was having lunch down the road. We were in this place for a couple of hours and suddenly there was like 400 people outside on the street. It was just so nuts and it’s like that all the time now,” he recalled. In the eagerly anticipated sequel New Moon, released on November 20, the 23-year-old takes on more of a supporting role, with “significant moments” during the film. “I’m not the lead in the second film. Taylor [Lautner] is,” he said. “I appear in Bella’s dreams. So I’m in it but the focus is not on me. So I’m more of a supporting role in this one, which is why I felt so free.” Source: Associated Press
