Robert Pattinson: Demand and supply factor
Posted on Oct 22, 2009 by Grace

So much has been talked and written about Twilight star Robert Pattinson. You may think that the media has gone overboard in creating hype around him but you just can’t help. The fact is, his fans just don’t seem to have enough of him.

He will be talked about much beyond the release of Twilight sequel New Moon next month. Why so much hype around the film and its cast as if there is no other film to talk about? You may ask. The truth is that it is the most-awaited film of the year. At least youngsters are dying to see Pattinson and Kristen Stewart on the big screens.

You have witnessed such a hype before the release of Harry Potter series. New Moon too is surely going to witness a great opening but the big question is – will Robert Pattinson be able to handle the demand and supply factor? The demand is huge as of now and the ongoing economic recession is unlikely to affect its prospect at the box-office. This will certainly pressurise Pattinson to deliver the goods. He must be well aware that supply must meet the demand, and equilibrium won’t be enough to push him further as far as his acting career is concerned.

The pressure will mount even after the release of New Moon. People will watch his every movement. He has even hinted that he would stop acting after the Twilight series. But that is unlikely to happen. Like predecessors, who slowly learn to enjoy the attention, he will find hard to stay away from the limelight.

The question that hovers in the minds of the people is whether he will end up being known only for his role in Twilight series or go on to become a big star like Robert Redford, Harrison Ford, Brad Pitt and others.

As of now, all eyes are on the New Moon, which is releasing next month. Its fate at the box-office will determine his future in the film industry. Will he live up to the expectations? Watch out guys! You never know what will happen.
