Robert Pattinson doesn’t understand why his relationships always end, comparing himself to his ‘Twilight’ character, vampire Edward Cullen.

Robert Pattinson says he’s just like his character in ‘Twilight’ because women always dump him.

The 23-year-old British actor – who plays the vampire heartthrob Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight’ movies – said he always has doubts in relationships and realises too late that he really likes someone.Speaking of his vampire character Edward, he said: “I don’t think he’s really mean. I think he’s mean in the next one, ‘Eclipse’. In this one he’s just lost. He doesn’t know what to do. It’s this typically male attitude when you find somebody you’re in love with and your own doubts just keep messing up again and again. And then you realise as soon as you’ve messed up, you only have a few chances!

“I’m like that every time! I’ll do that with every relationship I ever have. As soon as I like them I start beating myself up to a point of ridiculousness and then they hate me to the point of dumping me.”

Robert – who is rumoured to be dating his co-star in the vampire movies, Kristen Stewart, 19, – denies this but said girls were a lot more forward nowadays.

He told more magazine: “You can always tell. I can be sitting at a restaurant and suddenly there’s people sitting next to you and they’re making sure that I see them. If a girl can’t look at me as anything other than that, I probably don’t want to go out with her.”
