Robert Pattinson’s Pop Plan

Robert Pattinson wants to pursue a music career after he has finished filming the ‘Twilight’ movies.

Robert Pattinson wants to be a pop star.

The ‘Twilight’ heartthrob is a budding songwriter – he sings the track ‘Never Think’ which was included on the soundtrack album of the first film in the franchise – would love to pursue a music career but fears the baggage of his role as vampire Edward Cullen would ruin his chances of being successful.

He said: “I write songs, that’s true. I’ll record a few tracks as soon as I finish the promotion for the movies, but before I won’t to do anything. I don’t want to release an album which has a sticker on it saying, ‘By the vampire of ‘Twilight’,’ on it.

Robert Pattinson on Entertainment Weekly New Issue, Team Edward!

Call it battle of the abs. Or the teen screams heard round the world. Either way, Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon did more business on its opening weekend than any other movie this year. Now that it’s the biggest fall opening ever at $142.8 million and its opening day number of $72.7 million outgrossed The Dark Knight’s first-day figure, Hollywood should finally accept that women drive the box office in a big way. “It’s great that the greenlighters in town have realized that little girls go to the movies,” says MGM’s president of marketing Michael Vollman. “But this genre has worked forever. To Sir With Love was an angsty girl movie.”

Robert Pattinson Dishes on Twilight: Eclipse!

Categories: 'Eclipse'Headlines & Rumors | 0 comment

ROBERT Pattinson is adamant Twilight fans will enjoy the third movie in the vampire franchise, Twilight: Eclipse — because it’ll be fun to see Kristen Stewart’s character Bella get treacherous!

“I think Bella’s little bit of treachery in the third one will be … I think it’s going to be a good scene,” the hunky Brit, who plays vampire Edward Cullen, told MTV News.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the love triangle actually becoming a problem,” Kristen added. “We sort of innocently touch on it in ‘New Moon,’ but it actually becomes something that is very, very real.

“I’ve always backed her up in her devotion to Edward. And to see that falter will be interesting.”

New Moon Mania: What’s Next for the Cast?
Posted on Nov 25, 2009 by Grace
Categories: Headlines & Rumors | 0 comment

The Twilight Saga: New Moon made an astounding $140.7 million in box office earnings over the weekend, and the film’s young cast is no doubt celebrating – but they’re hardly taking a breather. A guide to what’s next for the series and its stars:

• What’s up with Kristen Stewart’s next movie?
The actress otherwise known as Bella, 19, has been busy with non-Twilight projects. She stars as (another!) troubled teen in the New Orleans-set drama The Yellow Handkerchief, due Feb. 12. And she’ll also appear in Welcome to the Rileys, a drama in which she plays a lap dancer, as well as the Joan Jett biopic The Runaways, headlining as the famed rocker alongside her New Moon costar Dakota Fanning.

• Where’s the best place for fans looking to get their Team Edward and Team Jacob fixes?
New Moon audiences got a sneak peek of Robert Pattinson’s next film, Remember Me, which opens March 12. (He plays a wayward college student opposite Lost’s Emilie de Ravin.) And Twilight’s Edward, 23, is attached to two other upcoming projects: Unbound Captives, a western costarring Hugh Jackman, and Bel Ami, a drama about an ambitious journalist who becomes involved with a Paris socialite, played by Uma Thurman). As for a certain sexy werewolf, Taylor Lautner, 17, appears (minus the fur and fangs but with his real-life sweetie Taylor Swift!) in the ensemble romantic comedy Valentine’s Day, opening Feb. 12.

Pattinson takes stewart to meet the parents
Posted on Nov 25, 2009 by Grace
Categories: Headlines & Rumors | 2 comments

ROBERT PATTINSON is so smitten with his TWILIGHT co-star and rumoured girlfriend KRISTEN STEWART, she has already met his parents, his aunt has revealed.

The British hunk has been romantically linked to Stewart for months and Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke confirmed the stars were dating earlier this month (Nov09).

She told Time magazine, “After I cast him, I told Rob, ‘Don’t even think about having a romance with her. She’s under 18. You will be arrested.’

“I didn’t have a camera in the hotel room. I cannot say. But in terms of what Kristen told me directly, it didn’t happen on the first movie. Nothing crossed the line while on the first film. I think it took a long time for Kristen to realise, ‘OK, I’ve got to give this a go and really try to be with this person.’”

Entertainment Weekly Interviews Chris Weitz on ‘New Moon’
Posted on Nov 24, 2009 by Grace
Categories: 'New Moon'Interview | 0 comment

Chris Weitz just joined the ranks of a very select group of directors such as Chris Nolan and Sam Raimi who have opened their films above the $100 million mark. The news is sweet revenge for a man who had his last film The Golden Compass complete re-cut by his previous studio bosses. Check out our Q&A with Weitz where he reveals his favorite cast moments and how he’s dealt with the fan adoration and the paparazzi intrusion.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What was your biggest fear going into [opening] weekend?
CHRIS WEITZ: I didn’t have any particular fears. The tracking numbers were enough to indicate that I wouldn’t be letting the studio down. But if one could imagine their biggest fears, it would be complete rejection of the movie, by the fans. What I’ve realized over the last week is I won’t necessarily get good reviews for this movie. Having swallowed that, this was made for the fans, and if you don’t get it, then you don’t get it.

Did the negative reviews surprise you?
Nothing surprises me in terms of reviews. Having been a reviewer myself, there are only two ways to spin this story. You can either be the one guy who says this is a great movie, or more likely, take a more jaundiced view of the whole thing. And given the media blitz that has accompanied New Moon, it’s rather unsurprising. I do wish there was more appreciation for cinematographer Javier Aguirresarobe. I think he’s a genius and I think he made something beautiful.

Robert Pattinson Documentary Robsessed Goes To iTunes
Posted on Nov 24, 2009 by Grace
Categories: Headlines & Rumors | 1 comments

Robert Pattinson has a perfectly square jaw, sure, and his tousled hair has the power to impregnate 20 women simultaneously, but I thought we’d all agreed on one thing– Pattinson is not really that different from teen matinee idols past. But while Zac Efron and Leonardo DiCaprio didn’t get documentaries in their honor during their moments in the sun, Pattinson is getting his. U.K. distributor Revolver, as they move into the American distribution market, are bringing us Robsessed, a documentary that will be available only to buy or rent on iTunes.
