Any comments attributed to Robert Pattinson are going to get huge attention, especially with regards to the highly anticipated Bel Ami he’s making with Uma Thurman, and especially if outlets can throw in the word “sex.”

“The sex scenes with Uma are kind of disturbing,” Pattinson is quoted as saying to The Daily Record. The comments were quickly (and not surprisingly) picked up everywhere. “[Thurman's character] kind of uses sex as a sort of weapon and my character thinks like an animal,” Pattinson supposedly adds.Bel Ami is an adaptation of French writer Guy de Maupassant’s novel, in which Georges Duroy (Pattinson) is a social climbing journalist and playboy. As Gossip Cop confirmed last month, Christina Ricci has also signed on to the project.

Gossip Cop was told by a source close to Pattinson that the Daily Record interview is a “fabrication.”

The source adds, Pattinson “never spoke to the [Scottish] Daily Record.”
