‘Twilight’ stars Pattinson, Lautner, Stewart branch out They’ve monopolized magazine covers and encouraged moviegoers around the world to spend more than $1 billion at the box office. Surely, the three young stars of the Twilight franchise —Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart— have earned a break in between big-screen installments of their supernatural saga. Not if they desire careers that require more than just being a brooding vampire, a hard-bodied werewolf and the sulky girl who loves them. When it comes to life after multi-part blockbusters such as the Star Wars trilogies, opportunity often awaits. But so does type-casting, poor decision-making and outright rejection. Only a chosen few rise to Harrison Ford heights. That might explain why each of the Twilight trio has at least one film coming long before the third outing based on Stephenie Meyer’s literary phenom, Eclipse, arrives June 30. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson – no more missing days! Robert Pattinson fans…reasons to merry as the wait is over to catch the hunk on silver screen once again. It’s not that he was completely missing from the tabloids, but we are talking about his presence as an actor and his performances. And guess what the best part is? Robert is going to treat us twice…soon. If it is “Remember Me” on 12th March 2010, the cherry on the cake will be the trailers of “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” during the screening of “Remember Me” on 12th March itself. And the full movie Eclipse would follow shortly on 30th June 2010. So many fans are in fact asking questions on why Eclipse trailers during Remember Me? Is it some kinda publicity stunt to attract people for a non-twilight film? I don’t think so, because Remember Me itself is a quality movie and I am sure it would draw crowd all by itself. • Read full story » Who’s The Bigger Box Office Draw: Rob Pattinson or Kristen Stewart? For all the money the Twilight franchise is making, how much of it actually has to do with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson? This March, exactly one week apart, both Stewart and Pattinson will be releasing a pair of movies that are arguably the biggest since they’ve been wrapped up in all things Twilight. Prior to this, Stewart watched Adventureland gross a measly $16 million, while Pattinson’s Little Ashes didn’t even cross the $500,000 mark. But that was back in 2008, and one would think the heat on these two has grown since then — especially with the release of a second Twilight film, New Moon, which went on to break records in 2009. Now the two actors are back for another round of solo efforts, with Pattinson debuting Remember Me on March 12th and Stewart rockin’ out in The Runaways on March 19th (I’m not counting The Yellow Handkerchief because it’s way too small to do any sort of damage). To be fair, Remember Me comes from Summit Entertainment and, as such, is fortunate enough to be carrying the first trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The Runaways, meanwhile, has a handful of mediocre Sundance reviews and a much talked-about make-out scene between Stewart and Dakota Fanning. As far as gimmicks go, I’m scoring this one as Pattinson: 1 Stewart: 0. • Read full story » Facebook Exclusive ‘Ask Rob: Little Sister’ Interview ‘Remember Me’ facebook has released another interview of ‘Ask Rob: Little Sister’ exclusive. Eddie Redmayne Talks Robert Pattinson & Tom Sturridge Kristen Stewart was a pre-“Twilight” 17 years old when she filmed the coming of age drama “The Yellow Handkerchief,” with British actor Eddie Redmayne in New Orleans, a film due out later this month. But the two stars revealed to AccessHollywood.com on Thursday that Kristen learned her first details about her then-upcoming co-star Robert Pattison from Eddie, who turned out to be a R-Patz pal. “Randomly, at the end of this, you were about to do ‘Twilight,’” Eddie said, turning to his “Handkerchief” co-star Kristen during Access’ interview. “I had known Rob since I was [younger]. So I was like, ‘Yeah! You’re working with my mate Rob!’ You’re like, ‘Really? What’s he like?’ I was like, ‘He’s a good boy.’” Kristen said although she first attempted to find out more about her “Twilight” co-star from his pal, she realized Eddie’s lips were fairly sealed. “I sort of got from [Eddie] that they were friends for a long time and he wasn’t going to say anything bad about him. Even if there was something bad, it was just sort of like, ‘Yeah, it’ll be good,’” Kristen laughed. Eddie confirmed he and his British boys club buddies stick together, a group that includes Eddie, R-Patz and “Vanity Fair” actor Tom Sturridge. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson ‘Remember Me’ Still I’ve added an outtake of Robert in ‘Remember Me’ movie to the gallery. Kristen Stewart on Breaking Dawn: “Still Not Concrete” Breaking Dawn isn’t officially a go yet. Neither is the plan to make two movies instead of one. “I have been told to be ready for November,” Kristen Stewart tells me. “I mean, it looks like a ‘yes,’ but it’s still not concrete.” Stewart believes the story in the fourth book in the Twilight series “absolutely warrants” being two films. “It would be hard to cram all of it into one movie,” she said earlier today while promoting her new drama The Yellow Handkerchief. Things have certainly changed since Stewart and Rob Pattinson signed on for the first flick… “We didn’t even know we were going to make a second one,” Stewart said. “We were just like, ‘It’s really cool. It’s different and we’ve never seen a love story like this.’…I thought it would just be another cool Catherine Hardwicke movie.” • Read full story » Campus Abuzz With Filming Possibility Despite widespread Internet rumors stating that a certain vampire will visit Ithaca this summer, no production plans for the movie Water for Elephants will be confirmed until April, according to University Press Officer Blaine Friedlander. “If they are going to film [Water for Elephants] here, we would love to have them and we would love to cooperate,” Friedlander said. After rumors began to spread, the University called Fox 2000, the production company that won a bidding war to film the movie, but nothing final has been planned, according to Friedlander. The movie, based on the best-selling novel written by Sarah Gruen, will tell the story of a Cornell veterinary student who drops out of school just before graduation and joins the circus. While only Reese Wither spoon has confirmed her participation in the film, Robert Pattinson, of Twilight fame, has been in talks with producers for over a month about the part of Cornellian Jacob Jankowski. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart Set To Appear At The BAFTA Awards! It’s only been three months since “New Moon” hit theaters, but it certainly feels like an eternity since we’ve seen Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart out in public together. Sure, the Taylor and Taylor sightings were enough to keep us excited and occupied until they split a while back, but there’s something about walking down the tabloid aisle and not seeing KStew and RPattz plastered everywhere that strikes us to the core. Fortunately the Brits have solved our problem. While Rob’s performance in “New Moon” isn’t earning him any nominations at this year’s British Academy Film Awards (the British equivalent of the Academy Awards), the BAFTA Twitter account announced today that he would be appearing as a presenter. We’re hoping he’ll be presenting the Orange Rising Star award considering that is what Kristen is nominated for. Source: MTV « Older Entries
