Robert Pattinson is keen to start a family after his parents and siblings fooled him in to thinking his mom was pregnant five years ago.

The idea of having a baby brother to look after thrilled the “Twilight” star – but the pregnancy announcement turned out to be nothing but an April Fool’s Day prank.

And Pattinson has been keen to become a big brother – or a dad – ever since.

He says, “I’ve always liked the idea of having a younger sibling. My family tricked me about five years ago that my mum was pregnant. I didn’t realize it was April Fool’s Day!

Like many reluctant heartthrobs, Robert Pattinson is torn between his desire to be taken seriously as an actor and his desire to still look hot. Recently leaked images from the Budapest set of Bel-Ami, based on the 19th-century French novel by Guy de Maupassant, show Pattinson looking dandyish in a top hat and tails as the womanizing social climber Georges Duroy. In almost every way, Pattinson looks the part. Duroy is described in the book as “tall, well-built, fair, with blue eyes, a curled mustache, hair naturally wavy… he recalled the hero of the popular romances.” Anything missing? That’s right: the mustache. Duroy’s luxuriant lip-hair is his most distinctive feature, appearing as early as the second sentence:

restaurant. He twisted his mustache in military style and cast a
rapid, sweeping glance upon the diners

The many subsequent mentions of the mustache make it clear that it is Duroy’s most expressive feature as well:

• On reaching the second floor, he saw another mirror, and once more
slackened his pace to look at himself. He likewise paused before the
third glass, twirled his mustache, took off his hat to arrange his
hair, and murmured half aloud, a habit of his: “Hall mirrors are
most convenient.”

The 23-year-old actor has become a global superstar after playing brooding vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight, but his latest film is indie flick Remember Me, which he revealed stood out from the hundreds of roles he has been offered.

Robert Pattinson is picky about which film roles he takes

Robert said: “I never like anything, so it’s quite easy to decide what to do – I’ve never felt any pressure to do anything, particularly. Even when we were shooting it [Remember Me] I never thought about the box office.”

He added: “I had read tonnes and tonnes of scripts over the summer after I did Twilight, I mean hundreds, and everything seemed exactly the same.

So, I covered the Van Morrison “sing-alike” Pattinson did—see my previous entry or go to my list of links. That was fun, but…frivolous.

This time, I’m going to get a little more serious to “review” his latest film. Because I think that no matter how you feel about him, or what critics have said, Remember Me, his latest film, is worth experiencing.

Pattinson says, to everyone who asks, that he made the film for a reason that I actually really liked. And respected. He said that when he first read it, he kept thinking, as I did for the first few minutes while watching it: “Why…would anyone write this?” And, characteristically for this enigmatic young actor, he kept reading to find out instead of ringing up and bawling out his agent for wasting his time.

Here is something Robert Pattinson actually can’t do. The talented star, who mesmerises the world with his acting performances, admits that he lacks confidence on dance floor. Though the cult setting star is quite into music, dancing skill is something he lacks entirely.

MTV reports that the Twilight star has recently revealed how terrible a dance he is. The 23 year old actor who is quite confident about his music lessons, will not be called a perfect dancer and the actor himself claims so!
And no, he is not kidding this time!

But did he always lack confidence to dance? Nope! In fact, he used to dance all the time till the age of 16. It all happened in a wedding when he was criticised by his father on his dance moves on the floor! And that changed the way it used to be once.

Robert Pattinson along with his movie, ‘Twlight: New Moon’ & ‘Remember Me’ have received several nominations at the upcomgin 2010 MTV Movie Awards which will be held on June 6, 2010. You only have till April 9, 2010 to vote for him. Do your part now by voting now! Congrats Mr Pattinson!

Is your character in RM the closest interpretation of your on personality?
No. I think it’s impossible to represent yourself being fully aware of what you’re trying to do. I try to choose characters that are not like me at all. The more unknown they are to me, the better I can play them because then I don’t feel vulnerable.

Do you like the tortured characters?
Those are the ones that I’m being offered. Subconsciously I try to be like my characters, and I live my fantasies through them. I’d love to be a confused young person that fights for his ideals, but I’m not like that.

Everyone beats him up in RM.
I prefer to be hit than hitting. It’s more interesting.
