That isn’t correct. A box-office disappointment, sure, but definitely not a flop considering its $16 million price tag. Even if Summit Entertainment spent that same amount — or several million more — promoting and distributing the film, Remember Me will most likely end up in the black after worldwide box-office rentals (not grosses, as exhibitors keep about 50% of the share) and ancillary revenues are added up. At the domestic box office — United States and Canada — Remember Me has grossed $14.5 million after 12 days. Day-to-day revenues have varied widely, with increases and decreases at times reaching 20%. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson Star Inc Magazine Scans I’ve added new scans of Robert Pattinson featured on the April issue of ‘Star Inc [Quebec]‘ Magazine to the gallery. Robert Pattinson’s ‘Remember Me’ Surpasses Production Costs At #12, Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me earned $1.9 million down an acceptable 41.6% from last weekend. Curiously, when compared to other movies Remember Me actually does better on weekdays than on weekends. The romantic drama was #10 on Friday, but according to current estimates it had only a minor surge on Saturday and did poor business on Sunday. That has been the film’s pattern since it opened two weeks ago. A relatively weak weekend, but then on weekdays it goes up a spot or two on the chart. To date, Remember Me has grossed $17.1 million, or about $1 million more than its production cost. It’ll probably earn another $3-$5 million in the next couple of weeks, ending its run in the low $20m range. That’s not bad at all for a movie that at first looked like it was going to disappear within the week. Source: ALTG Interview: Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin A rather exhausted looking Robert Pattinson talks to inthenews.co.uk about his new film Remember Me at its premier in London’s Leicester Square. Following what appeared to be an exhausting few hours on the red carpet, ‘RPattz’ and his most recent leading lady Emilie du Ravin made their way into the Odeon for the premier of their new film, and to talk to yet more journalists. Glowing in a black lace cocktail dress with terrifyingly high heels, the tiny Emilie du Ravin looked at ease next to her co-star. Poor Pattinson however, who has become synonymous with the Twilight brand and now attracts hundreds of screaming young girls wherever he goes, looked drained after his hours spent talking to fans, signing autographs and ‘biting them’. “I’ve been up since 6am” the heart-throb said wearily. • Read full story » Popsugar UK Press Conference Interview I was lucky enough to attend the London premiere of Remember Me and meet Robert Pattinson and Emilie De Ravin earlier this month. Rob and Emilie chatted about their film, their roles in Twilight and Lost, and lots more. In Part One of this series of interviews Robert reveals how he felt during the fight scenes, how he views father figures, his role in Bel Ami and his relationship with his friends and family. Stay tuned for the next installments! On playing brooding types, and whether he’d consider a lighter role: “I did the kind of lighter stuff before Twilight came out, and it just so happened that Twilight’s become so much about the archetype of the brooding person. I mean I never thought that Tyler was that brooding to be honest [laughs], and then I just get it at every single thing, people saying, “brood, brood, brood” — I hadn’t even heard the word before Twilight! I guess I like to play broken and troubled characters because it seems more interesting, especially because I’m not that broken and troubled myself.” • Read full story » Robert Pattinson Filming ‘Bel Ami’ on 03/27 I’ve added new filming photos of Robert Pattinson onlocation of ‘Bel Ami’ on March 27, 2010. R-Pattz wants rom com role Robert Pattinson has revealed that he would love to star in a romantic comedy. The Twilight star fancies hiding away his vampire fangs for something more light-hearted, but claimed he hasn’t found anything perfect. “I’d love to, but they are always just so rubbish – I mean like, I’d absolutely love to do it, but I’ve literally never read a good rom-com script,” he told GMTV in an interview airing on March 29. Robert, who stars in Remember Me with Pierce Brosnan and Emilie de Ravin, reckoned there’s too much competition to be a romantic comedy king like Hugh Grant. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson Featured on Elle France & At Lyrics Theatre Candids Adds I’ve added new scans and high quality candids of Robert Pattinson featured on Elle France & leaving the Lyrics Theatre on March 27, 2010. A Little Robert Pattinson Mentions on Emilie’s Recent Article With her new film, Emilie de Ravin has hit the jackpot. Not only does she get to cavort in steamy scenes with heartthrob du jour Robert Pattinson (OMG! RPattz!) in Remember Me, but she gets to bask in the heat of a talked-about movie that, without Pattinson’s involvement, may have been another under-the-radar romantic drama. Pattinson’s first project since the unprecedented success of the Twilight films sees him as an angry rich kid – sans creepy vampire makeup – who falls in love with a ballsy young philosophy student, played by de Ravin. At 28 – five years Pattinson’s senior – she is still girlish enough to pass for 21. You’ll most likely recognise the Australian actress de Ravin as the young mother Claire in Lost (currently in its explosive sixth series on Sky1), but her association with Pattinson has catapulted her into the celebrity weeklies. • Read full story » « Older Entries
