Robert Pattinson Listed ‘The 50 Most Stylish Leading Men of the Past Half Century’

Robert Pattinson is listed GQ’s one of ‘The 50 Most Stylist Leading Men of the Past Half Century’.

Robert Pattinson
Shrieking, ululating, OMG-ing teen girls aren’t usually the best arbiters of men’s style. (See: Cassidy, David; Mark, Marky; Boys, Backstreet.) So give the nearest tween a high five for freaking out over Robert Pattinson, the British sensation who stars in gossip columns, gossip sites, and oh yeah, a little billiondollar franchise called Twilight. Young Rob’s probably got the best head of hair since James Dean, and he lets it do the talking. He also lets it fly: no pompadour, no side part…As far as we can tell, he just runs his hands through it every five minutes. And the clothes? What clothes? A pair of jeans, a T-shirt, an unbuttoned and untucked plaid shirt…That’s it. He dresses his age (23); he dresses to his strengths; he dresses so you don’t give a damn about how he’s dressed.

Chris Cooper Talks Robert Pattinson
Posted on Mar 22, 2010 by Grace
Categories: Headlines & Rumors | 0 comment

Co-starring with Cooper is Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson, who plays the love interest of his character Neil’s daughter Ally, played by Emilie de Ravin. He had this to say regarding his experience working with Pattinson.

“I liked slapping that kid around…a lot,” Chris jokes, “No, it was good. It was enjoyable. It was real good working with him. We were very careful about that. I know people are making a real big deal about that scene. We were very careful and safety conscious and all that business and it worked out really well.”

However, while Robert Pattinson became a virtual overnight sensation with his role in the Twilight films, Chris says that it gave him no preconceived notions about his co-star’s level of acting commitment.

HOLLYWOOD stars Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci were spotted at Balls Park yesterday (Wednesday) whilst filming their latest movie.

The actors were at the Manor House in Hertford filming Bel Ami – a movie adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s novel with the same title – originally set in Paris.

Pattinson plays Georges Duroy – a man who rises to the top by manipulating a series of powerful and wealthy mistresses.

The actor stars opposite Uma Thurman, who plays a woman high up in Parisian society and later becomes Duroy‘s wife.

Christina Ricci plays one of Duroy’s many mistresses in the film.

El País: Surviving the Vampire

Fame has made him live hiding and to go out only at night. Like his character in Twilight. Robert Pattinson detoxes himself briefly with Remember Me.

Robert Pattinson assures us that he has found the way to go unnoticed: grow a beard. “It works, the other day, in a bar, a guy told me that I looked like the guy from Twilight. That I had to go see the movie”, he explains. It pains us to tell him that is not so. He is wearing a baseball hat and a blondish beard. An antipaparazzi classic uniform that will hardly make him invisible. This 23 years old Londoner has had to digest fame very quickly. A few years back he lived out of the royalties from his small role as Cedric Diggory, the handsome guy of Hogwarts, in 2 of the Harry Potter films. He was a guy from an expensive school, with a stable family, that used to hang out in pubs and played the guitar. He was about to stop acting when he was called for a casting in LA for the highly anticipated adaptation to Stephanie Meyer’s vampire saga.

Q&A With Robert From ‘Remember Me’ NY Press Junket
Posted on Mar 21, 2010 by Grace
Categories: Headlines & RumorsInterview | 0 comment

There are stars, there are idols, and there are the squeal-worthy — the guys you merely have to mention for girls to explode with ecstasy, glee and a certain amount of misery.

Such is Robert Pattinson, the 23-year-old English actor who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” series, and who turns out to be a very gentle and seemingly normal guy. His between-ghoul gig, alas, is playing the conflicted Tyler Roth in the Allen Coulter-directed drama “Remember Me,” which opened March 12.

He recently took some time out from his busy schedule to answer a few questions about his latest film and his blood-sucking alter ego:

Q. Did you pick this project just to counter your Edward Cullen image?

A. That was one of the reasons. But there was also something different about the script that stayed with me. It was odd — you wonder why it was written, what happened to the writer, what elements are true. And it seemed like I could spend the summer in New York and it would be really nice after all the pandemonium.

Peyton List Talks Robert Pattinson
Posted on Mar 21, 2010 by Grace

Peyton List recently talks about Robert lifting fire extinguisher in ‘Remember Me’.

QF: What was it like working with Rob? Did you feel starstruck?

Peyton: I really didn’t, but one girl was shaking and crying!

QF: What was the most challenging scene to shoot?

Peyton: The most challenging scene to shoot was probably the one where Caroline comes into school, and I start picking on her. Rob had to throw a fire extinguisher out the window, so it was kind of crazy.

QF: Were there any bloopers or embarrassing moments while filming?

Peyton: Rob grabbed the fire extinguisher and couldn’t lift it. It was too heavy and he fell to the ground! He wasn’t hurt or anything, but he was laughing. They had to empty it and make it lighter.

The Robsession with Robert Pattinson

Girls strip off for him, fans mob his set, but the sweet little star of Twilight, and the world’s most wanted man, still struggles with his sex scenes.

Would I like to interview Robert Pattinson, the world’s hottest young actor? Yes, obviously — although getting close to the boy who plays the “devastatingly, inhumanly beautiful” vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight at first seems virtually impossible. Penned away in the Dorchester, like a rare Siberian tiger cub — he can’t stay at home in Barnes when he comes back from LA because the fans know where he lives — he is being firmly guarded by a brace of film execs when I arrive for the interview.
