A report that was widely disseminated earlier today made big waves by claiming that “key scenes” in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse need to be reshot in Vancouver, and speculated that the development indicated production on the June release was troubled.

Gossip Cop looked into it, and we have the exclusive answers.

First, regarding the implication that these reshoots were unexpected, an authorized rep for the studio tells Gossip Cop, “The reshoot was planned for months, like it is with the majority of films.”

Let Gossip Cop settle some other false rumors.

Contrary to today’s inaccurate speculation, “creative differences” have not led Summit to consider bringing in another director for the reshoots.

Something smells fishy here… according to Star Magazine, Robert Pattinson’s aunt apparently thinks that he has turned into a celeb snot.

She apparently said:

“It looks like we’re being frozen out. It’s funny how fame affects people. Never in a million years did I think this would happen”

So who’s the latest on the rumour mill of RPattz’s ladies?

Try stunning Transformers actress Megan Fox.

Reports say Fox, supposedly engaged to Brian Austin Green, has split from the 90210 lad and has taken an interest in Pattinson. “Officially, it’s over” between Fox and Green a source told E! Online “and has been for a while.”

Twilight fans have the chance to star alongside Robert Pattinson in his new movie Water For Elephants as an ad for extras has been posted online.

Producers recently posted an ad on Craigslist in LA, looking for extras for the upcoming film.

A casting is taking place on April 17 for fans to get their chance to meet the Twilight star.

The movie is based on a novel by Sara Gruen about Jacob Jankowski’s memories from his childhood.

ROBERT Pattinson reportedly ‘sexting, sleeping’ with Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester. After much speculation about his romance with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson has been sexting with another star and ducking into her home. According to In Touch Weekly, sources have spotted Pattinson entering Gossip Girl TV star Leighton Meester’s NYC apartment.

The sneak claims: “He ducked out of the building and hopped into a waiting car. He apparently spent the night with Leighton, and didn’t want anyone to know! She’s having a texting romance with him, and is so into it. She talks with Rob almost daily.” – The Daily Telegraph

As we end our weeklong Robsten anniversary, totally doting on the couple got us to thinking:

Easy, they give not only good love, but, great gossip.

And with R.Pattz and K.Stew, it’s a different kind of drama than the typical H’wood power couple. While Brangelina are the reigning king and (ice) queen of the tabs, things are pretty black and white when it comes down to what’s really up with the golden couple, i.e., Angie dines on Brad cajones daily (all their friends say it, even the jokesters like Clooney).

So not the case with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Not only do they both get off wearing the pants in the relationship, there’s never a definitive answer as to what the ef is up with these two.

Therefore, we’ve dubbed them the king and queen of non-answers when it comes to their personal lives.

Behold, in no particular order, five of our favorite scandalicious mysteries surrounding Rob and Kristen:

1. Nikkigate!

Here’s what we know went down with this ménage-a-something: Somehow this happy threesome quickly became a happier twosome, and that’s when the vamp blood hit the fan.

From a ‘Pirates’ role to his reported pregnancy (!), the ‘Twilight’ star has been at the center of a few tall tales.

When somebody is impossibly good-looking, simply placing a picture of them on your magazine/ Web site/ tabloid can get a huge audience to pay attention. If the person is one of the biggest movie stars in the world, an outrageous story about them can capture countless eyeballs. And if they happen to be both, well, all the better.

Over the past 22 months or so, Robert Pattinson has rocketed from obscurity to omnipresence. He’s also dealt with a ton of ridiculous rumors. Now, hot on the heels of reports that RPattz was going to play Kurt Cobain in a feature film, we look back on the 10 dumbest (and utterly untrue) Robert Pattinson rumors:

Rob’s Nirvana?: The Sun is a British tabloid that seems to specialize in stories about how Megan Fox is going to play Catwoman. Their latest “scoop,” however, was a real doozy — Rob was in regular contact with Courtney Love and had landed the role of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain in a biopic. The rumor got a bit of traction, particularly because of RPattz’s well-documented love of music, but ultimately the Sun story was dismissed by Love’s reps, leaving the tabloid to offer all apologies.

Rob Is Preggers: It would be one thing to suggest that whomever RPattz is supposed to be dating this week is pregnant. But an Australian tabloid once reported that a little Rob was on the way and — get this — he was the one who was going to give birth to it! Perhaps the editors have been watching too many bad early ’90s Arnold Schwarzenegger comedies lately, but the report was so ridiculous that even Rob himself singled it out as the craziest rumor he had ever heard about himself. We’re no doctors, but six months have passed since the “news” broke, and since Rob’s not showing yet, we’re thinking it’s safe to call this one bogus.

Pretty boy “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson got a little roughed up by the film critics for his movie “Remember Me,” with Emilie de Ravin. But Rob may be getting the last laugh now that the box office numbers are rolling in.

“Remember Me,” about a troubled youth attempting to deal with tragedy, is slowly working its way around the world, opening in such far flung country as Argentina and Australia.

So far, the film has grossed $45.7 million at the box office, which obviously isn’t anything close to 3-D blockbuster “Avatar’s” billion dollar plus take. But “Remember Me” only cost $16 million to bring to the big screen.
