DESPITE the best efforts of Summit Entertainment’s publicity team, which has a third “Twilight” movie to promote, it took more than a month to corral the heartthrob star of the franchise for an interview. Robert Pattinson, various handlers explained, was at the mercy of a chaotic shooting schedule for “Water for Elephants,” his biggest non-“Twilight” picture to date.

Fair enough. A guy’s got to work. But Mr. Pattinson was also not particularly eager to chat for the quadrillionth time about Edward Cullen, the tenderhearted vampire he will reprise on June 30 in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” When he was finally able to break away from the circus (the setting of “Water for Elephants,” not the throng of paparazzi and hyperventilating girls who trail him around), Mr. Pattinson seemed to have a bit of “Twilight” burnout.

If we hired a private investigator and had him look into every Robsten rumor that’s ever been published, we’d have one confused dick.

Yesterday, Life & Style and In Touch screamed that Rob and Kristen broke up. Five days ago, the big bad Internet said that they died. Funny how continuity works, eh, kids?

Truth is, Rob and Kristen are talked about. A lot. But like we keep telling you, so many of these rumors are just genuine, certified, grade-A vampire crap. And since plenty of these wild headlines make doofus claims, we’re pretty sure you noticed it, too.

1. Kristen’s preggers! And so is Rob!

It’s hardly an uncommon thing to invent a celeb pregnancy rumor, but it’s also the easiest one to debunk, since nine months later and no baby means…you guessed it! One dumb-ass rumor. And don’t forget, there was also that ludicrous rumor that Rob was pregnant with a lovechild, too. But that one’s about as bonkers as Cathy Hardwicke.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson says that he was not comfortable enacting the nude scenes in his movie Little Ashes and is still haunted by them.

The 24-year-old actor took on the role of Salvador Dali in the film and remembers that he had to bare all in a room full of men, Contactmusic reported.

“They give you a little robe and the moment where you have to take it off, you want to throw up and your whole body starts failing.I was doing this thing where I was refusing to look at anyone and just between each take you’d be sitting there convulsing. And then, suddenly, I briefly turned around for one second and saw that there were six or seven guys in the room,” Pattinson said.

Robert Pattinson has said that Jacob is a better fit for Bella in Eclipse than Edward.

The actor told MTV News that Edward is too complicated for Bella because he is so much older and out of touch with modern times.

“Their relationship is so much easier, Bella and Jacob, because he’s just a normal kid,” he explained.

“Edward’s got to remember, or learn, how to be a normal 17-year-old, because he’s never bothered.”

He added that Edward’s aloof nature has kept him from connecting with Bella’s generation.

“The whole thing is [Edward] having to accept the consequences of [being with Bella], which means catching up to the same pace of every other 17-year-old in the contemporary world, emotionally and intellectually and everything, and realising he’s quite a long way behind.”

The Twilight actor told Australia’s Today Show: “I love doing nothing more than anything in the world.

“I used to never do anything. Ever. And I miss that.”

Rob shot to fame since he landed the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga but the actor said his life hasn’t changed that much.

“Not really to be honest.

“If I could live in the same place I used to live I would” he said.
