Backlash is as much a part of celebrity as well-rehearsed stories for Leno and Letterman. Some spectators consider it the price of admission. If an attractive young man or woman wishes to make millions of dollars in the public eye, they say, he or she must expect that public eye to turn away from time to time — or even glare.

And so it is that everything becomes amplified beyond recognition. If a movie fails, the leading actress is buried by the press and on message boards. If she’s been the subject of unflattering tabloid stories, she can expect to land on Worst Dressed Lists or in Chelsea Handler’s quips. We can’t wait for the too-smug actor to get his comeuppance, or to be caught scratching himself on TMZ.

When momentum is in someone’s favor, we conveniently overlook flaws. When we wish to rip them down, no fissure is too small.

The problem is: The media often portray events as they didn’t happen, in order to fit the narrative their readers been instructed to follow.

One guy said it was ‘How much would the government make if they pimped out Robert Pattinson’ – Cue a few screams from the audience.

Great news for Entourage fans, but also good news for all those celebs who show up here and there on the show. The HBO hit has been home to myriad smokin’ guest stars, including Zac Efron, LeBron James, Michael Phelps and even Wahlberg himself, who said he still “always pops up, a little [cameo] here and there.”

We don’t think it’s too soon to be asking about future guest stars for the show or movie, so though maybe we should suggest some possible cameos. Maybe, say…Robert Pattinson? And would they ever bring him on if he was interested?

“Umm, that’s the kid from Twilight?” asked Mark. “Yeah. We’ll see about that.”

Oh, Mr. Wahlberg, you coy little devil! We’re certain this isn’t the last you’ll hear about getting R.Pattz to make a cameo as Vince’s next co-star or Ari’s erstwhile client.

And hey, since our campaign to get Rob to host Saturday Night Live didn’t really pan out, this is definitely a Pattison protest we can get behind!

I’ve added another batch set high quality candids photos of Robert Pattinson spotted in Malibu on July 24, 2010 followed by the latest candids today.

Robert spent the day in Malibu, going to theaters and to a house party. When leaving the house Robert got really upset that photographers were waiting outside for his picture to follow him home. Robert went to Venice after leaving Malibu where he stopped twice asking the photographers to leave him alone, Robert came out of the car confronted the photographers and talked to them explaining they wouldn’t find out where he lives. Robert asked the cops for help but they wouldn’t help making Robert even more upset, both times Robert stopped his car he spent at least 45 minutes waiting at the local to see if the photographers would leave.

A teenage vampire is not the obvious choice of inspiration for a range of men’s underpants. But Robert Pattinson, or R Patz as the star of The Twilight Saga is known by fans, has been named as the inspiration behind Marks and Spencer’s new slim-fit underwear.

Dubbed the R-Pant, the low-rise briefs and trunks are designed to be worn under skinny jeans and trousers, a look popularised by the likes of Russell Brand and Mark Ronson, two celebrities the chain cites as design influences.

Despite widely reported criticism by Jeremy Paxman in 2008 when the Newsnight presenter claimed “their pants no longer provide adequate support”, one in four UK men still wear M&S pants, according to the retailer.
