Sounding a bit envious, Robert Pattinson recently talked about how lucky Simon Cowell is to get paid for insulting people.
The “Twilight” star dished that he would consider being an “X-Factor” judge because of how enjoyable it would be to critique the talent show’s performers.Pattinson tells, “It would be one of the best things ever to get paid for handing out Simon Cowell-style insults for the day.”
The 24-year-old adds, “I don’t think he’s rude, I think he’s just painfully honest, which is what makes him so good. He must absolutely love his job, it can’t be one you’d ever get bored with.”
What we love about James Franco is that, despite pursuing a Ph.D. at Yale, garnering serious Oscar buzz in “127 Hours” and embodying a Hollywood A-list persona, he’s taken time out of his busy schedule to keep up with the trends. That’s right, James has both read and watched the “Twilight” books and films, and when MTV News caught up with him at the Toronto International Film Festival where he was promoting “127 Hours,” he spent more time talking about the phenomenon than the film’s stars typically do.
While he may not be a self-proclaimed Twi-hard after reading the series, James can at least reference Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner on a first name basis (you’d be surprised to find there are celebs out there who can’t), and can clearly understand the deeper metaphors of the stories.
“I wouldn’t say I enjoy them, but I’m fascinated with them,” James said about the books. “I’m interested in the metaphor of the vampire placed in the high school setting and how a relationship with a vampire can stand in for general feelings that people have as teenagers. And the obsession people have with that is also fascinating to me.” Read more…

Meanwhile the results of our Zac Efron beard poll are in, and surprisingly an overwhelming majority of you prefer the HSM star with facial fluff – a statistic we feel we should probably pass onto Zac himself as he seems to be having doubts about the new addition to his face.
At the premiere last night Zac told one reporter that his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens wasn’t particularly fond of his beard.
“Well Vanessa finds it very itchy when I kiss her” he said. The when asked whose beard was thicker – his or Robert Pattinson’s, Zac replied: “Probably Rob’s.”
Sara Gruen talks about ‘Water for Elephants’, Jacob, working with Rob and what he does between scenes (at 5:35 in a new interview with KARE TV. She also talks about the April 15 release date for the movie. You can click here to watch the interview.
