It’s no secret his fans will do almost anything to get close to him, but one Robert Pattinson fan has gone above and beyond.

This week, an uber fan paid $80,000 in a charity auction to win a meet and greet with the “Twilight” hunk along with a visit to the set of “Breaking Dawn.”

The director of communications for a website called Charity Buzz told MTV News, “Bidding was definitely intense! The package was hovering at $47,000 for a few days and then at $67,000, but we were so thrilled to see it jump to $80,000 in the very last moments of the auction.”

The auction raised money for the GO Campaign, which empowers vulnerable children and orphans around the world.

You’ve been wanting to know about Breaking Dawn, the movie(s). Details from the Part 1 screenplay are here. As previously noted, they are filming both parts concurrently. Last week after Thanksgiving, on a sound stage in Louisiana, Stewart and Pattinson worked on the Vampire Sex Scenes that take place immediately after Bella gets turned. They’ve also shot some Christmas sequences. Pattinson’s had a few days off since last Thursday – today being the last – and Stewart had almost the same days off save one in the middle. Then they both resume shooting for the next week or so at the Cullen House where she’s pregnant and feeling like sh-t.

As I’ve already said, the screenplay is SO MUCH BETTER than the source material. There are the obligatory Twilight cheese moments, sure, but considering that this is adapted from a book that was embarrassingly bad, I’d say the writer did a pretty impressive job, especially with this second part.

I like the tension between Bella and the wolves when she finds out Jacob has attached himself to her baby. She smacks him around. And then his wolf friends try to step in and she smacks them around too and everyone’s all like – oh Bella she’s so strong, roar.

One lucky fan spent a whopping $80,000 Wednesday to meet Robert Pattinson on the set of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.’

The winner will travel to Vancouver where they’ll be hosted at the Four Seasons along with three companions. Then, they’ll travel by limo to the ‘Breaking Dawn’ set, where they’ll have a meet and greet with Rob, who portrays hunky vampire Edward Cullen in the hit series.

The prize was offered on www.CharityBuzz.com to raise funds for the GO Campaign, a nonprofit group that supports grassroots projects for orphans and vulnerable children globally. The $80,000 bid is the highest bid ever on CharityBuzz.com.

The fourth book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, will be split into two films to be released on November 18, 2011 and November 16, 2012 respectively.

Thank you, Reese Witherspoon for being the one to say it: Robert Pattinson is the heartthrob of the 2000s, just like Leonardo DiCaprio was in the 1990s. While promoting her upcoming rom-com “How Do You Know,” Reese talked a bit about working with Rob on “Water for Elephants” and the crazed fan attention that he got on set.

Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllehaal were joined by an impressive list of Aussie celebs at the Love & Other Drugs premiere last night in Sydney. The giddy crowd at George Street Cinemas squealed with excitement when they spotted the glamourous couple. Anne said that whenever she needed an ego boost she was going to have an Australian premiere.

The pair were introduced as the “hottest young couple in Hollywood” and Anne joked that when she heard that she thought they were going to introduce Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart!
