NordicNina reported a couple months ago plans to show Bel Ami at Cannes or/and the Berlin Film Festival.

Now, she reports that Bel Ami is one of the movies being screened at both festivals.

A Swedish blogger says that Bel Ami is one of the films being screened at the Berlin Film Festival (10-20 February) and also in Cannes. At present, none of the official programs of these festivals has come out yet so for now we will take this news as a rumor until it becomes official.

Robert Pattinson has signed on to “Cosmopolis,” which David Cronenberg penned and will direct.

Based on the Don DeLillo tome of the same name, story follows a multimillionaire played by Pattinson who risks his entire fortune to bet against the yen on a cataclysmic day.

Cronenberg will also produce along with Paulo Branco. Renee Tab will exec produce.

Pattinson is slowly trying to break away from his “Twilight” fan base and aiming for more adult-driven projects like this and the Francis Lawrence-directed “Water for Elephants,” which also stars Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz.

Kiernan Shipka from TV series Mad Men, is a fan of Robert Pattinson & Twilight. She mentioned to Movieline interview.

When asked about her own tween crushes, Shipka enthusiastically answered, “I love Twilight. I like Robert Pattinson. I love Justin Bieber. I don’t think I have Bieber fever though. I’m more of a Twilight person.”

Earlier this week, Robert Pattinson fans rejoiced at the news that their “Twilight” hunk will continue to appear on the big screen after “Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ is released in 2012.

Pattinson’s first post-”Twilight” movie will be “Cosmopolis,” an adaptation of the novel by Don DeLillo, to be directed by David Cronenberg.

Pattinson will play “financial wunderkind” Eric Packer, who risks his entire fortune to bet against Japan’s yen on a tumultuous day. The character’s chancy move puts him in mortal danger. The flick is said to be “a drama that is a study of capitalism in a slightly futuristic metropolis.”

While fans are happy about Pattinson’s new project, the role initially went out to Colin Farrell. MTV News caught up with Farrell recently while he promoted his upcoming drama “The Way Back,” a film set during World War II about a group of prisoners who escape the Siberian Gulag and must walk over 4,000 miles to freedom. Farrell said he didn’t end up doing “Cosmopolis” due to timing and scheduling issues “for everyone involved.”

“Water For Elephants” has made the list of CNN’s Top Ten Film to look forward this year.
