Christina Ricci Talks About Robert Pattinson

Christina Ricci mentioned Rob and ‘Bel Ami’ in a new interview with Modern Luxury Dallas.

As she heads into the fall, Ricci is already generating buzz for her role in another period piece, Bel Ami (at press time, it’s yet to be picked up for distribution) in which she, Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas get to take turns being entranced by Robert Pattinson. ”He’s great; he’s really an awesome guy. I had a lot of fun working with him,”says Ricci. She goes to say that, despite captivating legions of teenage girls everywhere (along with most of their mothers), Pattinson maintains a respectable on-set ethic.”He’s so professional,” she continues. ”He comes to set with no expectations or attitude. None of those things you worry someone of his level of fame is going to have.”

Below is the quote from an interview of Christina Ricci talks abit about Robert Pattison and their new film, Bel Ami with Collider.

What was it like to be seduced by Robert Pattinson for Bel Ami?
RICCI: Oh, he’s absolutely lovely! He’s great in the movie. It’s a very different role for him. It’s classic Guy de Maupassant. It’s very interesting, grittier material. It’s really good.

Rob & Kristen Talks To Chicago Sun Times Interview
Posted on Aug 26, 2011 by Grace
Categories: 'Breaking Dawn'Headlines & RumorsInterview | 0 comment

“I’m curious to see how it will carry out,” star Robert Pattinson tells the Sun-Times. “This movie is so different from the other ones. The stakes are so much higher because now it’s time to turn the entire saga upside down.”

And then there is the matter of Bella’s baby bump. “The birth scene is frightening,” Pattinson admits. “It’s a slap in the face. It’s failure to Edward, who has to choose between losing Bella and transforming her. It’s the toughest scene I’ve ever had to film in my career because this choice tears out my heart.”

Not since the Kardashian wedding has there been such a rapid tying of the knot. Stewart admits, “I was racing down the aisle during the first few takes because I was eager to get the two of them married.” Pattinson says, “We saved shooting the actual wedding for last because it was so important. We needed to be immersed in it.”

Daniel Radcliffe: Robert Pattinson Has Had It Much Harder
Posted on Aug 22, 2011 by Grace
Categories: Headlines & Rumors | 0 comment

Once co-stars (and quite tragically so) in the “Harry Potter” series, Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t envy his former Hogwarts classmate Robert Pattinson.

While Radcliffe just finished starring in the biggest film franchise of all time, he told The Hollywood Reporter that his gradual introduction to fame made life a lot easier for him, which wasn’t the case for Pattinson.

“I think he’s had to do with kind of a lot more,” he said. “I had a very gradual easing in to the idea of fame, because I was doing the first two films back to back almost. So, while the whole ‘Potter’ film franchise was exploding, I was in studios filming and kind of unaware that this thing was going massive outside. Where as Rob, [he] was suddenly the most famous guy in the world. I think that’s a lot harder to deal with.”

There’s also the matter of how their characters are portrayed, as well as the public’s perception of the actors themselves. Radcliffe’s Harry Potter is a boy wizard, steely and determined, but dressed in scarves and long black robes, not to mention his iconic rounded glasses. His love life in the books and film series is a late addition, and generally takes a backseat to the main action, which involves saving the entire world.

Meanwhile, Pattinson’s Edward Cullen is described in the books as an adonis, a smoldering romantic of a vampire who is both sexily complicated and wildly devout to his virginal teen girlfriend. In short, the perfect man, undead or not. The entire series is predicated on their love and his willingness to take on all obstacles to defend her; in the end, all of his problems come from this undying love.

As for the actors themselves, the public watched Radcliffe grow up on screen, going from a 10-year old child to the 20-year old man he is today. In many ways it casts him like a friend or brother, more than sex symbol. Meanwhile, Pattinson was sprung onto world fully grown, and his secretive relationship with co-star Kristen Stewart was the total wish fulfillment of everyone who wanted to believe in the movie — or gawk at two beautiful people.

With Radcliffe now done with Potter and starring on Broadway, and Pattinson wrapping up his saga in the next year and branching out his film career, it will be interesting to see which young Brit has more staying power — both in show business, and the tabloids.
