Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart not cast in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ movie

It seems that “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2” star Robert Pattinson will not be playing the part of Christian Grey in E.L. James’ “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie adaptation.

In latest “Fifty Shades” news this week, British author E.L. James has just confirmed that she will rule out Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to be cast as the respective roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. According to a press release from “Celebuzz” this Thursday afternoon, the author stated it would be “weird” to have play Christian and Ana in the film.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart of ‘Twilight’ not to star in roles in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

From the striking billionaire Christian Grey to the innocent and beautiful Anastasia Steele, fans of the bestselling “Fifty Shades” trilogy have been more than excited to see who will be cast in the movie adaptation of the racy novel.

According to “Celebuzz” this week, the British writer reported in a recent interview about the casting of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. In answer to a question as to whether the Pattinson and Stewart couple—who play Edward and Bella Cullen in “Twilight” and whose characters served as ideas for the initial fan fiction of “Fifty Shades of Grey”—James gave a confirmed answer.“I think [casting Pattinson and Stewart] would be too strange,” said the author. “It would just be… ugh… weird!”

In response to another question posed to James about Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan serving as the role models for her own Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele literary characters, James also commented.

“The characters grew… the cast [in my book] started that way and developed completely into their own people. It was fascinating getting to know them and connect with them very well. I didn’t see an outline straight away… and had no idea where this novel trilogy was going to go. I just went with them.”

If not Pattinson and Stewart, who then does E.L. James want to see cast in the movie adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey” for some hot and heavy fun in the Red Room of Pain?

“I have about four people in mind for Ana’s role and three in mind for Christian’s part,” finished the author. “I’m not telling anyone what they are because I’m not allowed to discuss the film… which is a real shame. Things are moving slowly on that [front].”

According to the author James’ own casting and moviedemands, she only gave the rights to Focus Features and Universal Pictures to make the film with her having some serious say in who will play the lead roles and how the movie is produced.

Are you excited or down to see that the “Twilight” power couple will not play the lead roles in the movie? Though certainly skilled actors in their own right, perhaps it’s time to let some others stars take the spotlight.
