1812 Recordings are excited to finally announce the release of Daniel Pemberton’s atmospheric soundtrack to the acclaimed BBC film The Haunted Airman. Starring Twilight’s Robert Pattinson and adapted from the cult Dennis Wheatly novel The Haunting Of Toby Jugg this psychological thriller tells the story of an injured WWII RAF pilot (Pattinson), who, whilst trapped in a sinister hospital, grows ever more sexually obsessed with his aunt (played by Rachael Stirling – Tipping The Velvet). The film was made by the BAFTA and EMMY award winning director Chris Durlacher (George Orwell – A Life In Pictures) and also co-stars Julian Sands (24, Ocean’s 13).

Daniel Pemberton’s score touches on the many different dark themes of the story – from the extreme atonal horror of ‘Spiders’ and ‘Final Confrontation’ to the unrequited romance of ‘Hidden Love’; from the melancholic ‘Loss Of Control’ to the eerie sound of ‘Theme’ and ‘Ending’ – and will quickly take listeners back to the sinister and confused world of the film’s protagonist, Toby Jugg, played by Pattinson. Recorded in London the fifteen track mini-album features a dark and unusual mix of treated pianos, child vocals, detuned violas, orchestral flourishes and custom sound design.

The huge momentum of the Twilight series has meant that The Haunted Airman has gained a whole new global audience with fans desperate to discover the few films that Pattinson made before he found worldwide fame as the star of the enormously popular vampire franchise. With the UK DVD already regularly appearing in the bestsellers charts and the US DVD scheduled for release alongside Twilight: New Moon this release should hopefully appease both soundtrack collectors and the legions of dedicated Robert Pattinson fans who want to re-experience the dark world he inhabits as The Haunted Airman.

Taylor has mentioned Robert Pattinson during his new interview with IESB.

Q: Who else are you close to?
Taylor: I wouldn’t be able to pick one. If I were to start, I’d end up listing the whole cast. I do spend a lot of time with Kristen because all my scenes are involved with her, so Kristen and I are very close. I guess I’m close with Rob, too, ’cause we spend a lot of time together as well. But, the great thing about this series is that the whole entire cast is so close, and it would be a nightmare if we weren’t. It would be impossible to make this series because the characters are so tight. So, we’re really thankful that we all get along so well.

Q: Who would win in a fight between Jacob and Edward? And what about between you and Rob?
Taylor: Oh, man. I don’t know about between me and Rob. He actually does a lot of boxing, in his time off.(Kate: *faints) It might be a good match-up. We were actually discussing who would win in a fight between Jacob and Edward, while we were on set. There’s a scene outside Bella’s house where Edward grabs Jacob’s shoulder and Jacob doesn’t take that, so takes his arm and rips it off, and that moment Jacob would transform into a wolf.

• They had a Q&A for the second portion of the show and just some of the questions people asked were really stupid. Actually, most of them were pretty stupid.
• The interview was entertaining. Jimmy interviewed them first and there was a Q&A after which had it’s WTF moments, but was still fun for the most part.

Questions that were asked:

• is Rob’s misbuttoning on purpose or a fashion statement (their faces for this were priceless),
• what was Kristen’s favorite book,
• someone asked for Taylor’s shirt,
• someone asked Kristen if she had gotten a flu shot which freaked her out because apparently she got one the day before…
• Someone asked when was the last time Rob cried and why, which seemed like a stupid question but his answer made it totally worth it.

A bit like Robert Pattinson’s character in Twilight?
Yeah. He’s definitely über-sexy and he doesn’t try to be. I remember the first time I met him — I was like, “Oh, hello!” And then he starts talking and that makes it 1,000 times hotter. I’m a sucker for accents and any man who can actually sing and serenade you. He’d do open-mic nights in random bars in Portland, Ore., while they were filming Twilight. I was dating Kellan then and we’d all hang out sometimes.

Someone I know got to interview Rob last night at the Jimmy show, and she commented that he was really giddy and excited and when she asked him why he said “because I get to be in London in 4 sleeps”
Awwwwwwwww. He sounds like a little kid waiting for Santa!

He also said that working non stop over the past 6 months has made him very homesick and even though he wont really get much time with his family on the promo tour, just being in London and having the London smell will make him feel 100 times better than hes felt all year!!
