Robert Pattinson is the lead in the 1st transatlantic production for Paulo Branco. The screen adaptation for the Don DeLilo novel, shot in Toronto between May and July, and arrives in theatres in 2012. We arrive to Canada on July 11th, at the time when the Cosmopolis team just left the Pinewood Toronto Studios, where most of the movie was shot, to install itself on another compound. Mission: to accompany the last days (in fact they were the latest 24 hours) of shooting for Cronenberg’s new movie. We’re going to watch the last scenes of the movie that correspond to the last chapter in the book. Eric Michael Packer (Robert Pattinson), the lead character and Benno Levin (Paul Giamatti) the man who will finish it all have a decisive dialogue. Pattinson, a now mega-star due to his participation in the Twilight Saga. is working for the first time with this director. His character, Eric is a Manhattan golden boy. 20 years old. Stock market broker who has made a lot of money. On that morning of traffic jams, he decides to cross New York in his limo to get a haircut. Addicted to the logic power that runs the American empire, confident on his excess of confidence (?), he decided to bet everything against the valorisation of the yen. In the 24 hours in which the Don DeLilo novel runs Eric will lose his whole fortune. Haunted by real enemies and by the ghost of his own end e goes on a descent to Hell: is condemnation is irreversible. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson Interviews With Parade Magazine One little spoiler about Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1: Anna Kendrick’s character (Jessica) makes a witty toast where she calls Edward Cullen, “The Hair.” Until the world fell in love with the 25-year-old actor, people used to talk a lot about Robert Pattinson’s hair. Now, they talk about his star quality and his jump-through-the-screen charisma. Pattinson talked to Parade.com about the long-awaited next chapter in the Twilight Saga, his steamy scenes with Kristen Stewart, and embracing old-fashioned romance. On Edward’s sex appeal. On his steamy scenes with Kristen Stewart. It’s not as romantic as it looks. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart New CNN Interview While Robert Pattinson is suggesting that he and his co-star Kristen Stewart may be kinda/sorta married after shooting a scene in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” Stewart herself is more tight-lipped. “I’m pretty sure…there was a real priest doing it and he had, kind of, I don’t know, he had kind of a short term memory lapse or something and kept forgetting the characters’ names,” Pattinson, 25, told CNN on Friday. ”[He] kind of mixed them up with our real names and I kind of said as a joke, [we're] probably married. I don’t really know what the technicalities are of how to actually get married, but I just assumed it may be true in some world.” True or not, Stewart, 21, isn’t spilling about a wedding – she won’t even talk about her rumored relationship with Pattinson. “It’s funny, I can’t hold water,” the actress explained to CNN of why she stays so quiet about her off-screen relationship with Rob. ”Seriously, I am the most divulging – I’d say everything. You really only want to talk to people about stuff like that [who] know you and really genuinely care.” And then, she adds, there’s the feeling like ”you’re selling something and even if that’s not true, for whatever weirdo reason in my head that’s how I interpret it. I don’t want to give into it.” Source: CNN Robert Pattinson: ‘I can’t handle music career criticism’ Twilight star Robert Pattinson has declared that he wouldn’t be able to handle criticism of his music. The 25-year-old explained that he decided to focus on his film career because he might be compelled to “shoot [him]self” over a negative reaction to his material. “I record stuff a lot but that’s as far as it goes,” he told The Sun. “There is something about making movies. I can handle the criticism because you can always blame it on someone else but with music, as soon as you put something out there, you’re only putting it out there for people to judge it. “I don’t necessarily want people to judge it. I don’t care what they say. But I know if I put an album out, the day it comes out, I will probably be on the net looking at what people are saying and I’ll probably shoot myself. I don’t know if it’s worth shooting myself over.” Source: Digital Spy Justin Bieber: LAPD May Look Into Alleged Sexual Tryst Justin Bieber may not be able to brush off this “baby” after all. The Los Angeles Police Department may look into the alleged backstage tryst with Bieber and Mariah Yeater, according to police commander. While no report was taken in the Oct. 2010 incident, authorities can still decide to investigate further into the matter, Cmdr. Andrew Smith told The Associated Press. Yeater, 20, filed a paternity suit against Bieber, 17, claiming that their backstage tryst at one of his L.A. concerts produced a child. Yeater, who was 19 at the time, claimed that she had a sexual encounter with Bieber, who was 16 at the time. According to California state law, “anyone who has unlawful sex with a minor and not more than three years older is guilty of a misdemeanor,” The Associated Press reported. If convicted, the violation carries a one-year jail sentence. In response to Yeater’s claims, Bieber’s team came swiftly to his defense, calling the suit “malicious,” “defamatory” and “demonstrably false.” Bieber himself addressed the unwanted attention on Twitter Wednesday, saying he’s busy working on his new album and donating a portion of its proceeds to charity. “so Im going to ignore the rumors…and focus on what is real,” he wrote. “an opportunity to help by doing what i love. Judge me on the music! Love yall!” Many of Bieber’s more than 14 million Twitter followers have bashed Yeater online; particularly passionate ones have posted death threats. But now Yeater’s family is speaking out, urging Bieber to undergo a paternity test and provide Yeater with financial support if her young son is his, potentially making the lawsuit more than a blip on the “Baby” singer’s radar. “I don’t know the whole story,” Eddie Markhouse, Yeater’s grandfather, told “Inside Edition,” “But, from what I understood, she met him at a concert and he sent two security guards down off of the stage to bring her backstage to meet him. She said they partied, had some drinks and they indulged in sex … She’s basically an honest good person. She’s got a big heart. She’s a good kid and she loves this baby.” Source: Fox News Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Fighting Over Moving Plans Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are reportedly feuding over plans to move in together. The Twilight couple cannot decide whether to settle down in London or Los Angeles, according to The Mail On Sunday. “Kristen wasn’t keen to settle in London at first, and Rob is no fan of LA,” a friend explained. “He still dreams about living the quiet West London life he had before he found fame. He likes his no-frills lifestyle and can’t be bothered to upgrade to a luxury home. “It has caused tension with Kristen. She lived at his London place while filming Snow White and the Huntsman here, but she’s keen to find somewhere she feels is her home.” Pattinson jested in a recent Twilight press conference that the Breaking Dawn – Part 1 wedding scene taught him some harsh realities about getting married. “Any guy who tries to get involved in organizing a wedding or even has an opinion of what a wedding should be, then they’re kind of ridiculous,” he explained. “It’s whatever your wife decides to do.” The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 will be released in cinemas worldwide on November 18. Source: Digital Spy Robert Pattinson New “Guardian UK” Interview When asked about the pressures of fame, Emma Watson (Hermione in the Harry Potter series) said she was thankful she wasn’t Robert Pattinson. “I can’t even imagine what that kind of fame must be like,” she said. “So many people must wish they were in his position and think he has the best life, but actually there are prices you pay. Don’t interpret that from my perspective. It’s not so bad for me. I’m not in Rob’s position: I don’t have people screaming and crying and clawing at me. I’m so grateful for that.” It says something when the star of Harry Potter thinks that you’re the one who’s too famous. But Pattinson – aka R Patz – seems to have taken it in his stride. He greets the screaming hordes with humour and charm and a willingness to pose for pictures. There have been no drugs or fights with paparazzi. Even the romance he struck up with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart two years ago has survived breathless coverage in the gossip magazines, a testament to the 25-year-old’s sangfroid. So today ought to be a breeze. He’s at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills to talk about Breaking Dawn – Part 1, the fourth instalment of the Twilight franchise that has been his life for the past four years. When he shows up, however, he’s a mess. His famous hair is ungroomed and his T-shirt has a gaping hole all down one side. It’s not even a fashionable tear – the stitching has just gone. He looks as though he’s just been mobbed by a gang of rabid Twihards. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson Interviews with Hotpress With the first part of the final Twilight instalment hitting our cinemas this month, we caught up with Robert Pattinson to see how he was feeling now that Edward Cullen will no longer be a part of his life…. Are you sad that it’s all over now? Do you look forward to the hype all being over and you can get back to doing other things? How did you prepare for Edward and Bella becoming parents in this film? Did you draw on anything from your own childhood? • Read full story » Robert Pattinson Interviews with Access Hollywood Robert Pattinson is blaming Kristen Stewart for the wedding night scene that, before it was re-edited, nearly earned “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” an R rating. “What were you doing?” Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson asked the Brit on Thursday afternoon as he promoted the November 18-due film. “Weird stuff… It was gross,” Robert laughed. “No one wants to see that kind of stuff.” When Shaun asked what director Bill Condon left on the cutting room floor, Robert suggested it was things done by his leading lady – K-Stew. “It was more the noises. It was Kristen’s fault, really. I was just doing standard stuff,” Robert replied, trying not to look like the guilty party. “I was just kind of going through the motions – breaking the headboard, I just kept breaking the headboard repeatedly,” he carried on, laughing. “Kristen was just over the top. It was just too much… Her wig [was] falling off.” Before the bedroom scene between Robert’s Edward Cullen and Kristen’s Bella Swan-turned-Cullen, the two characters had to marry and the Brit said filming the giant nuptials was a day he’ll remember for a long time. “It was really sweet. There was a big build [up] of excitement because there were a lot of new cast as well who came in and everyone knew it was a big deal,” Robert said. “There were all these paparazzi helicopters flying around, so everyone was kind of excited. But, it looks a lot prettier in the movie than it was in reality.” And Robert continues to insist – even though none of his cast mates support him on the matter – that the man who married Edward and Bella on screen was the real deal. ”[He] was a real priest and Kristen’s going around saying it wasn’t a real priest,” Robert said. “It was a real priest. They were wrong, they weren’t paying attention, they were just thinking about themselves.” While a giant, on-screen wedding can sway an actor’s feelings in real life, Robert is pretty firm on his beliefs about walking down the aisle. “I don’t feel like marriage is that big a deal,” he told Shaun. “It just seems very simple… It’s like having a big birthday party. It’s like, if you wanna throw a really elaborate birthday party for your girlfriend, it’s kind of the same deal.” Source: Access Hollywood Rob and Kristen would love to work with each other again after Twilight Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have undeniable chemistry. We all know this, but in Breaking Dawn some of their best moments are the humorous ones during the honeymoon (think Bella’s “human moments”). At the press conference for Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 we grabbed Rob and Kristen briefly to see if they would ever want to work together again, maybe in a romantic comedy. After the four year Bella and Edward rollarcoaster, it might be nice to see them in a different genre together, right? Here was what they had to say about the idea: “I would die to work with [Rob] again,” Kristen said when we threw out the rom-com idea. “I totally would.” Trust us, when you see the movie you will know why this idea is in our head. They are hilarious down in Brazil! Rob is game too: “I would love to,” Pattinson told Celebuzz when asked if he would be up for a romantic comedy with Kristen. “Definitely I would work with her again [outside of Twilight].” Don’t get ahead of yourselves though, nothing is in the works as has been reported. But do you hear that screenwriters? Get to work! We think a Jason Segel script would be perfect. Don’t you think readers? Tell us in the comments! Source: Celebuzz « Older Entries
