Trying to get Robert Pattinson to host “Saturday Night Live” next season might be a bit like trying to make fetch happen. (Shout out to the “Mean Girls” fans out there!) But that doesn’t mean we aren’t gunning for it anyway. And it seems that—like Jason Sudeikis, who recently made us all giggle as the MTV Movie Awards host—Kenan Thompson is also petitioning to get the “Breaking Dawn” star on the show.

“That would be awesome,” he told us at the “iParty With Victorious” bash, adding that he’d also be into Kristen Stewart stopping by. ”They’d have to do whatever we asked them to do… it’s usually great when people get into it.”

(If Rob needs some more encouragement, Jason had these kind words for him: “We got you, buddy. You’ll be fine. Hold on to me tightly. We’ll take you through the forest of ‘SNL.’”)

Speaking of all things “Twilight,” it seems that Kenan was intent on having James Franco get his vampire on. Unfortunately, no one else was. “I tried to do this one skit when I think James Franco was hosting,” he revealed. “[The sketch was] about a kid who’s a vampire with just one vampire tooth, but that didn’t work.”

Director Francis Lawrence’s latest romantic drama “Water for Elephants” starring Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson will open the Shanghai International Film Festival.

The opening ceremony is bound to be a spectacular with over 300 celebrities from home and abroad walking the red carpet.

Among them are media mogul Keith Rupert Murdoch and his wife Wendi Deng; Hollywood star Susan Sarandon, Matt Dillon, and Mischa Barton; director John Woo and Feng Xiaogang; and of course Barry Levinson. Levinson is the president for the seven-member jury for the Golden Goblet Awards.

The ceremony will be held at the Shanghai Grand Theater at 6:30 p.m. this Saturday, June 11.

In 2009, Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock took the stage at the MTV Movie Awards to present the Golden Popcorn for Best Kiss. In what would become an ongoing theme over the next few years, “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart won the prize.

They took the stage to raucous applause and proceeded to tease a reenactment of their onscreen smooch without actually going ahead with the deed. After winning again the next year — and finally puckering up for the crowd — 2011 rolled around and Ryan Reynolds was again picked to hand out the Best Kiss award, this time with “Green Lantern” co-star Blake Lively. Thus both Ryan and Blake had quite a view when, after the Twi-kids once again nabbed the award, Pattinson bounded down from the stage, away from Stewart and into Taylor Lautner’s arms for a seriously unexpected kiss.
“I did not know that there would be a ‘Twilight’-on-’Twilight’ kiss,” Reynolds told us days later when we caught up with him at a “Green Lantern” press event. “We had no idea.”

Of course, having witnessed the inaugural “Twilight” Best Kiss win, the actor had been imagining something of the sort for years. “I’d seen it in my head many times as I closed my eyes,” Reynolds added. “But that was quite shocking, actually, that he would just run off the stage like that and attack that poor boy.”

Lively’s family, for their part, were equally stunned by the smooch — and the unwelcome attention of MTV’s cameras. “My family was sitting behind them,” Lively explained. “They were like, ‘Ooooh!’ They were hiding. They were so shy.”

As we all know, the Breaking Dawn flicks finally wrapped after a seven-month shoot. Kellan Lutz recently revealed he was actually happy to be home and back with his dogs.

How are some of his costars feeling, and what were the last days of filming really like? Read on for the that’s-a-wrap scoop…

“It was surreal,”Elizabeth Reaser said at the MTV Movie Awards.“I suddenly had nowhere to go. I was calling up my friends after seven months of being on location and was like, ‘I’m back. I want to have friends again. I want to go to dinner.’”

She joked,“They were like, ‘We don’t have time for you. You have to earn your way back into our lives again.’”

Reaser, who will next be seen in the dramedy The Art of Getting By playing Emma Roberts’ very inappropriate mother, said she and Peter Facinelli marked the end with a “a little meal together” on the last night.

Nikki Reed’s last night wasn’t as memorable.”The night we wrapped, we had been shooting in the woods in the freezing cold in these wedding dresses,”she said.”I think we wrapped as the sun was coming up, and I just remember being so tired and like, I know I have to say goodbye to 100 people but I feel like I’m going to see them again, so I just sort of left.”

Facinelli isn’t thinking about the end of the franchise because, he said,”We have to more years of movies coming out. I’m excited to be done with the filming part and to finally see it all put together.”

Jackson Rathbone agrees.”It’s nice to have finalized something—like putting a nail in the coffin, so to speak,”he said.

This year’s MTV Movie Awards came, as usual, with some shockers.

Robert Pattinson was the main culprit Sunday night, dropping an F-bomb during the Generation Award presentation for his Water for Elephants co-star Reese Witherspoon. Oops — it went uncensored on the East Coast. Witherspoon also said the F-word during her acceptance speech.

Stewart surfaced in black Levi’s and a loose-fitting white T-shirt — a casual contrast from her red, safety-pinned Balmain number from the awards. Pattinson kept his flannel shirt and donned a baseball cap and dark denim jacket.

Perhaps The Biebs enjoys the romantic storylines that the Twilight films have to offer. However, it is interesting that Justin Bieber chose the vampires over the wizards, since girlfriend, Selena Gomez, portrays a magical teen on the hit Disney show, Wizards of Waverly Place.

It seems that no one can resist Bella and Edward’s love story. (Maybe Robert Pattinson should have kissed Justin at the MTV Movie Awards.) While Twilight and Harry Potter are the two biggest franchises of Justin’s generation, his unofficial vote could sway “Beliebers” thoughts on the Vampires vs. Wizards debate.
