Archive for the ‘Headlines & Rumors’ Category« “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” won at Youth Rocks Awards 2011 | Patricia Mckenzie Talks About Robert Pattinson »Cronenberg Gives Cosmopolis Update & Robert Impressed Paul Giamatti When the director walked the red carpet last week at the Gotham Independent Film Awards in support of his film “A Dangerous Method,” he stopped to speak again with MTV News’ Josh Horowitz, revealing which scenes in particular were the most challenging for Pattinson. “Probably the last couple of days was where there was just a long, long, maybe 15-minute scene with Paul Giamatti, just the two of them in a couple of rooms,” Cronenberg said. In “Cosmopolis,” Pattinson plays Eric Packer, a young millionaire who just wants to get his hair cut. Things go awry when his limo gets stuck in traffic and a stalker, played by Giamatti, causes even more trouble. Cronenberg said that one of the biggest testaments to Pattinson’s skill as an actor was the effect he had on his Academy Award-nominated co-star. ”They were both brilliant, and Paul was really impressed,” he said. ”If Paul’s impressed, he’s a good judge of other actors, and he said so publicly.” The director is simultaneously promoting “A Dangerous Method” and putting the finishing touches on “Cosmopolis.” Cronenberg said that juggling both has never been an issue: ”I’ve edited ‘Cosmopolis,’ and I’m about to go to Paris next week to do the sound mix of it, but I can switch over. It’s like having two kids. When one kid comes through the door, you’re there for that kid.” Source: MTV Robert Pattinson New Interview With Capricho Brazil Posted on Dec 06, 2011 by Grace
Categories: 'Breaking Dawn' • Headlines & Rumors • Interview | 0 comment Robert Pattinson arrived at the luxurious Four Seasons hotel, in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, very much like himself. Beard, jeans, white shirt and hat turned to the back. Before we started the interview, he passed by me carrying a dog bed and left it in a room, at the end of the hall, where Bear was. Yes, Rob’s dog always joins him in his business commitments, ever since his owner adopted him, during Breaking Dawn filming. The English actor came back laughing and not even caring that I was there seeing everything. Rob is exactly like that: a simple guy that makes sure to always be himself. In 4 years of the Twilight saga, the most famous actor in Hollywood, never let success go up to his head. He was never involved in scandals and doesn’t like talking about his personal life – even his relationship with Kristen almost goes unnoticed. Rob’s secret? To have his family and his “few true friends” always around him. In this exclusive interview to CAPRICHO, Robert Pattinson also talked about what he felt while shooting ‘Breaking Dawn’: he said he only got scared during the wedding scene when saw Kristen walking dawn the aisle towards him, and that he was terrified to hold a real baby. Ah! Notice the loving way he talks about his girlfriend. It was so cool to see you talking Portuguese… What did you feel when you saw Kristen wearing the wedding dress? And the sex scene? Was it difficult to shoot? Do you think you did well? Was there anything that made your life easier during that time? How was your attitude torwards Kristen Were you embarrassed to be shirtless Did you work out to film those scenes The birth scene is so dramatic. How was to shoot that? And Kristen? She was okay with it? • Read full story » ‘Breaking Dawn’ DVD set to come out February 11th, 2012 Thanks to an entertainment distributor, today we’re learning more details about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1′s DVD/Blu-ray release. Categories: 'Breaking Dawn' • Headlines & Rumors • Interview | 0 comment The 4th segment of the ‘Twilight’ – Saga is opening in theaters. B.Z. has met Robert Pattinson before the Berlin premiere. Is it just a PR-gag or are Kristen Stewart (21) and Robert Pattinson (25) a dream couple, even privately? At his Berlin visit for the premiere of ‘Breaking Dawn’, the 4th part of the ‘Twilight’-vampire saga, Pattinson did not deny being with Kristen. Unfortunately she herself couldn’t come herself, because she’s currently shooting Snow White. Even if something, which the fans had waited long for, finally happens: The birth of their child. Privately however, Stewart and Pattinson are a long way from it, as he tells Markus Tschiedert in this interview. Mr. Pattinson, you were in Berlin for the movie ‘Water for Elephants’ only in April. Doesn’t the city get boring for you? Not at all! I love Berlin and I’ve also been on holidays here a few times. The first time was when I was 18, which has been a while. I was especially impressed with the eastern part of the city because there were galleries everywhere and bands played for free. I don’t know if it’s still like that now, but you could do a lot with little money back then in Berlin. Nowadays you probably won’t be able to walk through the streets of “Berlin Mitte” and Prenzlauer Berg anymore without being recognized… No, I haven’t had that experience yet. If you know whereto, and I’m certainly not going to spill that now, people will let you be. Especially in the eastern part they’re too cool to talk to me. [laughs] Even if the final installment of the ‘Twilight’-saga is going to open in theaters next year, you’ve already wrapped. How hard was the farewell to you? My last day of shooting was with Kristen in the Caribbean on the beach and in the sea, which was very pleasant. It was my first time ever to be in the Caribbean, so I treasure this memory. Are you happy as well that everything is coming to an end? Yes, kind of, because it took very long to shoot these films and I never imagined it would be this hard in the beginning. I mean, I sat in the make-up trailer for at least 2 hours before every shoot, had to put in those contacts, that my eyes never got used, to every time. As soon as I put them in I was in a bad mood, especially when we were on set up to 15 hours, 6 days a week. Aren’t you afraid to be forever identified as a vampire? I’m aware of the fact that ‘Twilight” is nowhere near finished. Even if I shoot other films, people will see me as Edward. I accepted that. Nevertheless, I’m grateful. These movies have changed my life completely. I was already known for my little role in ‘Harry Potter’, it’s nothing compared to Twilight though. I had to rearrange my whole life after the first movie because suddenly everything changed and people on the street recognized me and shouted my name. What’s the craziest thing that has ever happened to you? We were introduced at the Munich Olympiastadion for promo for the 2nd one and all of a sudden we stood in front of 20,000 fans that did nothing but scream. It felt like we were rock stars without even singing or playing something. We just stood on the stage and were screamed at. That was really bizarre. In “Breaking Dawn” everything the fans have been waiting for finally happens: Bella and Edward finally have sex. How was it for you to shoot those scenes with your girlfriend? Because all that stuff is already in the book the whole pressure really came from having to satisfy the reader’s expectations. Apart from that it was pretty easy for us, also because our director, Bill Condon, knew how to create a comfortable atmosphere on set. He was under a lot more pressure than we were. But being as intimate in front of the camera as you’re usually only privately must’ve been weird… Of course, because Bella and Edward are virgins and because of that we had to create those especially intensive emotions. It means a lot to the fans, that the two of them finally get closer to each other and we were aware of that responsibility. We of course, had to pay attention to how much we could show. Especially in America the display of violence is okay but when it’s about sex everyone’s protesting and the movie gets a higher rating and that’s really hard for the studio. The essential question is if you can already sleep together before marriage or if you should wait until you’re married. What’s your view on that? I think that depends on how you grew up. I know people that wouldn’t do anything they regret later on. Everyone has to know for themselves. Sex is such a weird thing because it’s connected to so many emotions. It’s something really personal and that should be respected. The most intense scene was of course the one where your child is born. Would you want to be a witness of that in real life as well? If it’s my own child that’s born. With someone elses not so much. Do you have plans of starting your own family soon? Right now there’s no plan but I do hope that that’s going to happen someday. Cosmopolis Director David Cronenberg Talks Casting Rob, Twilight & More What was it about Robert Pattinson that made you think he was the right guy for the lead? And was he a fan of your work? Are you going to go see Breaking Dawn? You’re not going to go with the screaming fans? You did? And you were impressed with the work in the first two Twilights? Source: NY Mag Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart plan romantic festive getaway Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are planning to go their separate ways this Christmas, but will be reunited on Boxing Day for some extra special festive celebrations. The loved up Twilight stars have had little chance to see their families recently, due to filming commitments and the promotional tour forBreaking Dawn, so they have decided that this year they will spend Christmas day with their parents. Rob will celebrate in London, while Kristen will return to LA. But they won’t be apart for long. According to Showbiz Spy, they have booked a romantic getaway to the Isle of White, a place they have fallen in love with. An insider told the celebrity site: “Rob and Kristen won’t be together on Christmas Day. “They’re sad, but they are committed to their families and want to be with them over the festive period. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson: I would die for true love – it’s what life is about Edward is famously chivalrous and protective of true love Bella in the vampire franchise – and it would seem some of his romantic ideals have been rubbing off on Pattinson. In an interview with Berlingske TV, the British heartthrob said he would be willing to die for true love, saying he believes anyone else truly in love would do the same. ‘If you’re in love with anyone, I think the majority of people would say, “If I have to die for this person, I will.” I mean, you don’t really love someone if you’re like, “No. Just let them die”,’ Pattinson said. The actor, who is dating on-screen love Kristen Stewart in real life, also went on to defend Edward’s old fashioned ideals, saying he agrees with his attitude of simply wanting to marry the woman he loves. ‘Everyone is always telling me that Edward is kind of old-fashioned, but I always see him as fairly normal. I mean, he just knows what he wants,’ he added. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 sees Edward and Bella tying the knot, before heading off on a steamy honeymoon. Pattinson said: ‘We shot a bunch of sex scenes in a row just filming our faces having orgasms,’ describing it as the ‘most embarrassing thing I’ve ever had to do’. Well, there’s nothing off-the-rack about any of this. Can we get onto a really important topic now? Um. Edward. IN SHORTS. Discuss. Insane! I’d never dreamt that I’d see the back of that man’s knee. It’s breaking news. It’s MAJOR. And Robert Pattinson is an Englishmen. It’s all charcoal boiled wool. Source: MTV Style Robert Pattinson is marriage material: Kristen Stewart Kristen Stewart tells Renuka Vyavahare, why beau Robert Pattinson is a man any girl would want to marry! After keeping their relationship under wraps, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have admitted they are indeed seeing each other. The two are even planning to move in together in their new London pad. We ask Kristen Stewart if she thinks Robert can make for a great husband! “Rob has many desirable qualities. He is very intelligent and capable for one thing, has strong will power, an excellent reasoning ability and common sense. One of his great qualities is that he has an ability to see his own faults and makes a determined effort to change. He is not stubborn and I guess these are the qualities that any girl would want to see in her partner” said Kristen Stewart in an interview with TOI.com. Source: Times Of India Robert Pattinson disses ‘Twilight’ copycat A human girl in love with a vampire has become one of the most common concepts in pop culture. But Robert Pattinson dismisses vampire TV shows such as “True Blood” and “The Vampire Diaries” as “Twilight” copycats. “It’s like that Coke versus Pepsi thing, and how Coke just said ‘There’s a reason everyone compares themselves to us,’” he said, according to Web site Hollywood Life. “‘Twilight’ was the original and everybody’s trying to copy it. They’re all just trying to jump aboard the ‘Twilight’ train.” The third film in the “Twilight saga,” “Breaking Dawn Part 1″ opened last week and has already grossed more than $222 million. Meanwhile, stars Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who are a couple offscreen as well as on, spent some time together in London this week. The two were spotted at a Marcus Foster concert and were reported by witnesses to have their arms around each other, swaying to the music. Stewart starred in pal Foster’s music video, “I Was Broken,” earlier this year. She is currently in the UK filming her new movie, “Snow White and the Huntsman.” Source: NY Post « Older Entries
