Archive for the ‘Interview’ Category« MrPattinson.com on Twitter | Robert Pattinson Japan Press Conference Photoshoots »GQ: the reaction: girl, infatuated The Reaction: Girl, Infatuated As editors of a men’s magazine who put Twilight actor Robert Pattinson on April cover we’re aware of a few things. First, that Pattinson has a very promising career ahead of him. (In his profile, Alex Pappademas declared that Pattinson “seethes like Warren Beaty.”) Second, that our readers agree with us — and a few do so for reasons not entirely related to his acting skills. (Sarah Moore from Raleigh, North Carolina, wrote: “The cover should read “Hide your wives,’ not ‘Hide your Daughters.’ I can assure you that I, and many other twenty-and thirtysomethings, would gladly trample the 15-year-olds to get a piece of that.”) • Read full story » Rob’s Interview with Technikart Magazine Heartthrob Robert Pattinson, who has become a superstar thanks to the ‘Twilight’ saga, is in Cannes, and the least we can say is that he has fans absolutely everywhere, especially a few thousand on the Croisette (name that French give to Cannes), where every time he appears, he causes a riot. Technikart magazine met the British star, who can’t get over the enthusiastic welcome which was given on the Croisette. Extracts. • Read full story » New Robert Pattinson Hollywood Reporter UK Interview Robert Pattinson, who soared to global stardom in “Twilight” and has just committed to a screen adaptation of the fourth installment in Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling series, is more than just a pretty face. The actor, who didn’t go to acting school, talks to The Hollywood Reporter U.K. Bureau Chief Stuart Kemp in Cannes about how long it might take to fall in love, why he doesn’t care who directs him as long as it’s a good script and losing his car. THR: Have you been to Cannes before? Pattinson: I came here on holiday once when I was 12 but not since. I wouldn’t appreciate it (here) as a holiday now. THR: Let’s talk about “Twilight.” There are four books. Is the plan for you to do them all? Pattinson: I have committed to the fourth one, “Breaking Dawn.” But I don’t know quite when Summit is going to shoot it because of my schedule. THR: How is the script for “New Moon” different from the second book? Pattinson: It kind of plays relatively close to it. I would still describe it as being a sort of supporting role (to Bella’s story). I think it would have been a bit cheesy if it had just stayed as a voiceover part as my character is a voice in her head in the second book. They’ve shot these hallucination bits of the film. You’re playing a figment of Bella’s imagination and I was trying to do it in a really 2-D kind of way. I hope it doesn’t come out flat and boring (laughs). THR: What’s the schedule for “New Moon”? Pattinson: We’ve got four days left on the shoot for this. I’m going to Italy for the remaining days of the shoot. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson ‘More UK’ Magazine Interview The sequel to vampire blockbuster Twilight, New Moon is currently being filmed in Vancouver, Canada, and according to our on-set sources, the real drama’s not on screen- its going on behind the scenes. Last week, Kristen Stewart (Bella) amd Robert were pictured getting cosy while supporting Sam Bradley, an old mate of Rob’s. at a benefit concert gig on Vancouver night spot Richard’s on Richards. And its roumoured that Robert (22) wants their on screen romance to turn into a real relationship- despite the fact that 19-year old Kristen has a boyfriend of two years – Michael Angarano. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson “Girlfriend” Magazine Interview GF: Your hair’s shorter; how come? Robert: I cut it because I’m a rebel. It’s one of those crazy things. The studio was always like, “The fans don’t want to see you messy.” I’m like, “I don’t care.” Then as soon as one of the fans said, “I like how messy he looks” they came back to me and were like, “Okay. You have to be messy all the time. Never stop being messy.” It used to look like a sculpture! That’s why I wanted to cut it off. As soon as people started calling it my “trademark”, it’s like, OK, time to get rid of it. The novels regularly mention how beautiful Edward is, so how do you feel about living up to that? It’s funny! Like last year, if I wanted to chat somebody up, I had to go all out, and then this year, I look exactly the same and the walls have just changed overnight! It’s like you just need someone to say, “This guy’s attractive,” and then everyone believes it! • Read full story » Robert Spanish Magazine Interview Thanks to Twilight Poison for the below translation for the Spanish magazine interview! Los 40 Principales Spain interviewed Rob and Kristen back in December for the release of the movie in their country. We finally got a copy of the magazine. Eventhough the interview is old-ish it’s still really good. It features some new stuff about each actor that we didn’t know like how Rob used to make 60 euros for gig in London and how Kristen googled “the ugliest girl in the world” and found a picture of herself. It also feautres a quiz on how compatible Rob and Kristen are, as well as on how well they know each other. It’s really cute Here’s the translation:
How long do the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart rumors have to persist? Really, guys? How long can a rumor persist despite all signs to the contrary? The Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart off-set romance gossip is getting to be a bit absurd. In approximately the past week, dozens of headlines continued to address the situation, both for and against the supposed connection. One almost need ignore the “top stories” to get to real information unrelated to this concocted jabber. Source: The Examiner Robert Pattinson MovieFone Interview When we talked to Robert Pattinson about his upcoming biopic ‘Little Ashes,’ we first ran through some internet rumors with the ‘Twilight’ star. Now we are pleased to present part 2, the rest of our breezy, candid interview. The remarkably generous and self-effacing actor played along, answering our questions — about doing an indie, stripping for nude scenes, filming ‘New Moon’ — with a refreshing dose of candor and complete lack of any diva-tude. After chatting with Pattinson, we have no qualms in pledging our allegiance to Team Edward. 1. How was filming ‘Little Ashes,’ which is such a small production, compared to doing the ‘Twilight’ movies? I kind of like small productions ’cause there’s not so much waiting around. And it’s strange, there are little things on ‘Little Ashes,’ like we didn’t have stand-ins, so we’d just kind of sit or stand around the set, which I initially found kind of bizarre but after a while it’s great, because you can just kind of stay in character the whole time. And also you can be much more a part of the set up of the shot, so I kind of liked that. I don’t know, it was, I would say, a very different energy. [But] there’s not a huge amount of difference, really. You’re just inside your head anyway most of the time, so you don’t really notice stuff. • Read full story » Robert Pattinson Fandango Interview “Surreal” is a word that perfectly suits Robert Pattinson’s life at the moment. Not only is the up-and-comer adjusting to a new, hyper-famous life after Twilight’s rabid fan base sunk their teeth into his brooding portrayal of the undead romantic hero Edward Cullen (and became as addicted to the newly minted star as the saga’s vampire clan is to hemoglobin), he’s also playing the famed Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí in his latest film. Little Ashes chronicles Dalí’s formative years at university, where he became embroiled in a complex, obsessive and sexually charged relationship with future poet Federico García Lorca. Pattinson paints Fandango a portrait of how he climbed into Dalí’s surreality, bares a bit of fang on fame, stays in the shadows during frenzied fan encounters and even offers a nibble of New Moon scoop. Fandango: There was the showy, intentionally bizarre public Dalí and then there is his art, which should be taken very seriously. Have you thought about that as it applies to your own work? • Read full story » Robert Pattinson gets naked and kisses a man Yes, it’s true. ”Twilight” star Robert Pattinson is naked in a movie. Want to know more? Then read on. I saw an advance screening of ”Little Ashes” on April 27. The dramatic film — which takes place between 1922 and 1936, and is based on real people — stars Pattinson as legendary Spanish artist Salvador Dalí, who had a forbidden romance with poet Federico García Lorca(played by Javier Beltrán) while the two men went to college together in Madrid.
