The Schermi d’Amore Rose goes to the film Little Ashes (Great Britain – Spain, 2009) directed by Paul Morrison.

This year it was once again the audience who awarded the prize at the 14th festival dedicated to romantic films and melodrama.

Kojo Pictures distributes Little Ashes starring Robert Pattinson

Star of “Twilight” and this year’s hottest new film “New Moon” acting sensation Robert Pattinson takes on a diverse role in his latest film, Little Ashes, which premieres this week in Adelaide.

The film is being distributed by South Australia’s fastest growing film production and distribution company Kojo Pictures.

Robert Pattinson, the young British star of Twilight, takes on the challenging role of playing the eccentric and flamboyant artist, Salvador Dali.

His life was as wacky and dramatic as a Hollywood script, so it’s no surprise filmmakers would be drawn to the story of Surrealist prankster Salvador Dalí, the self-inventive global art star and architect of modern celebrity culture.
But three films about him? Starring such big names as Twilight’s heartthrob vampire Robert Pattinson, Antonio Banderas and maybe even Al Pacino?

Somewhere, the publicity-loving Dalí must be gleeful in his grave. He could soon be the first artist in the history of art to be the subject of multiple feature films in English about some aspect of his long and notorious life.

TWEEN heart-throb Robert Pattinson is going gay in his next movie, said reports on Thursday.

The Twilight star plays surrealist painter Salvador Dali in Little Ashes, which looks at Dali’s sexually charged relationship with poet Federico Garcia Lorca.

The film shows a kissing scene between Dali and Lorca (Javier Beltran), but Dali refuses to have sex with him.
