Movie Hole’s Clint Top 10 Films of 2010 – “Remember Me”

“Remember Me” has makes the list in Movie Hole’s – Clint Top 10 Films of 2010.

10. Remember Me

I remember getting an Atari for my 10th birthday. That was a big surprise. When I caught the top of those tiny ted joysticks atop of their black spongy controls, I knew my entry into double figure land was going to be one to remember. Wanna know what a bigger surprise was? ”Remember Me”! This truly out Gorfed Gorf and Swallowed Pac Man hole in terms of pleasant surprises – I kid you not. Say what you will about his sparkling work in those vampire pics, Robert Pattinson delivers one of the richest and most weighty performances of any actor this year with his uneasy son and lover at the center of director Allen Coulter’s love letter to 9/11 (yes, there is such a thing). Catch it on DVD – you’ll find it, unjustly, at the ‘bottom’ of the new releases shelf.

‘Remember Me’ is one of the ’10 Great Films You Missed in 2010′

“Remember Me” makes the list among Moviehole’s one of the “10 Great Films You Missed In 2010″.

Remember Me
I know, I know, ‘but it’s got that guy with more gunk in his hair than Liz Hurley does in her nether regions’ but c’mon! many-a-good-actor have started out in the cinematic mailroom and graduated to an awe-impressive high-rise suite – just look at Robin ‘Mork’ Williams, Josh ‘Goonies’ Brolin, Tom ‘Bosom Buddies’ Hanks or Stephen ‘Evil Ed’ Geoffries! (Ok, bad example) – ain’t Robert Pattinson innocent until the gavel slams down!? This film, a heartrending relationship drama (it’s both about the rapport between a young couple and also one between a young man and his estranged father) that played to the tick of a 9/11 countdown, proved there’s much more to “Twilight” vamp Robert Pattinson than blank stares, sparkles and tree hopping. Quite simply, Pattinson was an eye-opener in this film. Skeptics need see it.

Just over a week before “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” hits theaters, Robert Pattinson’s romantic drama, “Remember Me,” arrives on DVD and Blu-ray June 22. Both discs will feature audio commentaries with RPattz, as well other castmembers and the filmmakers.

Co-starring Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan and Chris Cooper, “Remember Me” tells the story of Tyler (Pattinson) and Ally (de Ravin), two young New Yorkers who meet and fall in love in the summer of 2001.

“I never really played a normal guy before, and it was just that,” Pattinson told us about the role in March. “It was just a really solid story, and I had never really done that.”

Robert Pattinson’s ‘Remember Me’ Crosses the $19M Mark: Box Office
Posted on May 02, 2010 by Grace
Categories: 'Remember Me'General News | 0 comment

After eight weekend, Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me has finally crossed the $19m mark. After losing 86 theaters, the Allen Coulter-directed romantic/psychological drama grossed an estimated $46K at the North American box office, according to figures released by Box Office Mojo. To date, Remember Me has taken in a total of $19.019 million.

Considering that it lost about half its theaters (it’s only playing at 118 venues now), Remember Me’s 44% drop-off rate wasn’t bad.

Worldwide, the $16m drama has grossed more than $50m.

Robert Pattinson will next be seen in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which opens in the United States on June 30. Pattinson was recently in Vancouver with fellow Eclipse players Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner for several “pickup” shots with director David Slade.

Also in the Remember Me cast: Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper and Lena Olin.

Robert Pattinson’s REMEMBER ME Crosses $50 Million Mark Worldwide

Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me, the $16 million production referred to by some (those who have trouble with the Pattinson/Twilight phenomenon) as a “box office flop,” has grossed about $50 million worldwide.

According to figures provided by Box Office Mojo, Remember Me has taken in $18.852 million (as of Apr. 22) in the United States/Canada and more than $30.09 million overseas.

I say “more than” because Box Office Mojo’s chart for Remember Me hasn’t been updated for several markets, including key ones such as Australia (Mar. 28), Italy (Apr 4), The Netherlands (Apr 11), and Russia (Apr 4). Also, the most recent data available overall is from April 18, or a week ago. (Box Office Mojo hasn’t updated their international total — shown on top — for the movie since April 11.)
